What a request returns

A whole event in one object, not a market at a time

Every event arrives with each bookmaker inside it, and each bookmaker's markets and prices inside that. You are billed per event, so asking for more markets or more books never multiplies the bill.

IDs

One ID per outcome, at every book

Every event, market and outcome has its own ID, and an outcome keeps the same ID at every bookmaker, so lining up Sportsbet against TAB is a lookup, not a matching job. Markets use plain keys such as winner and handicap.

bookmakers

Every book, its own prices

Each bookmaker lists its markets and outcomes, every one with a decimal price, the implied probability, an available flag and the time it was seen.

Sharp prices

Pinnacle and Betfair beside the books

The sharp book and the exchange come back in the same response as the retail books, ready for the de-vig methods on the fair odds page, so you can measure any quote against them.

Depth

Props, alt lines and periods

Player and team props, alternate lines, and halves, quarters and innings sit in the same response as the head to head, line and total.

results

Results, already graded

Finished games come back with a verdict on every settled outcome: won, lost, void or dead heat, on the same outcome IDs as the prices, so settling a bet is a lookup.

history

Opening and closing prices

On Pro, ask an event for each book's first and last recorded price, or read every recorded change, for closing line value and backtests.

Fast, defined honestly

Fast means less of your time, not a faster price

The speed we promise is the part you feel: a free key in about a minute, a whole event from a single request, and filters on league, market and bookmaker that keep each response small enough to parse in a blink.

What we do not promise is a faster price than the source. Bookmaker prices are re-read about every five minutes, and pre-match is the priority. Games in progress carry live status flags, but their prices move on the same five-minute rhythm.

Not an in-play trading feed. If your product needs sub-second prices during a game, this is the wrong tool and we would rather say so now. Every quote carries observed_at, and a price not seen for ten minutes is held back rather than served as current, so your code can decide what counts as fresh.

More on the full FAQ.

What is Fast Odds API?

An Australian sports odds API made by SockOdds. One REST request returns pre-match prices from 37 Australian bookmakers plus Pinnacle, Betfair, Kalshi and Polymarket, across 46 leagues in 13 sports, with props, alternate lines and graded results.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Developer plan costs nothing, needs no card and does not expire. It gives you 2,500 objects a month at 10 requests a minute, covering the AFL, NRL, NFL and MLB with prices from Sportsbet, TAB and Ladbrokes.

How fresh are the prices?

Each bookmaker is re-read about every five minutes, with pre-match markets first. Every quote has its own observed_at time, and a price not seen for ten minutes is held back. It is not built for in-play trading.

Is this the same as SockOdds?

Yes. Fast Odds API is a second front door to the SockOdds API, run by the same company, ESK Solutions Pty Ltd. The data, prices and plans are identical. Your key, billing and support all come from sockodds.com.

Can I place bets through the API?

No. It is a data and analytics service only. It returns prices; any bet is placed by a person, with the bookmaker, under that bookmaker's rules.
